Thrilling since 1905 but still making rookie mistakes.

A few years ago, Chelsea FC outdid every competitor with their marketing campaign, “It’s a Chelsea Thing.” The launch video was one of the best pieces of digital content any Premier League club sports team anywhere has put out.

The Blues did everything right from the design and production standpoints, but they neglected one thing on the marketing side: buy the domain.

So I did, thinking that on the off-chance they wanted to buy it from me I could finally live the dream of a domain squatter; or if I ever wanted to launch my own Chelsea site, I had the perfect domain to do it.

A few years, a new manager and a Champions League title later, Chelsea still occasionally #itsachelseathing, they still haven’t tried to buy the site and I’m ready to get back to writing about Chelsea. I may even bring some old friends with me.
